I had forgotten about this #beetle that we spotted on that hike years ago now in #Colorado . While at a new-to-us lake this morning, I was able to test out Seek to identify some trees that we’ve never seen before.

The bark on the American Persimmon tree is so fun. It’s like little dots were attached to the trunk one by one.

The bark on the Shagbark Hickory is also unique and truly lives up to its name.
