Images coming back from the #BombCyclone produced ~15ft (5m) #seiche on Lake Erie are pretty impressive. Some aren't attributed though so if you know, please post in reply. To the west, Miller Ferries are sitting high and dry on the lake bottom and Put-In-Bay is dewatered. The graph shows an 84 inch (2m) drop at the #NOAA station, more at other locations, and a 23C drop in air temp. The screenshot of the video from Mark Robinson at Fort Erie (east) shows the coastal flooding. #GreatLakes

There's a massive seiche in Lake Erie- water level's down 80+ inches on the Western side, with a corresponding rise in the East.
When it sloshes back, there'll be a big wave of water and ice.

It seems like, under the right conditions, such a wave could grow to enormous proportions creating a cyclical tsunami.
However I guess since with sustained wind it would oppose the wave for half the cycle that would serve to damp it out long term.
