Wow! No idea what's going on here. I got a typical spike of downloads from the latest #SeldonCrisis (a pretty decent one relatively speaking). Then the usual quick drop-off over subsequent days to single figures per day. Then, for no obvious reason, a massive spike in the last four days - much bigger than the one right after release.

#SeldonCrisis has been using these for a while now. The use of images and wikipedia links in the flow of the text is showcased in the interview with Kevin Jardine, @galaxy_map. #ESA #GAIA

@dd9000 I just recorded a new episode of #SeldonCrisis in which I read one of Asimov's short stories that is quite relevant to the recent #AI debate about the dangers of it becoming conscious and getting rid of humans. It's called Reason, and is presented as humor, but has some heavy ideas. Written 82 years ago! Episode should be out tomorrow.

Looking for feedback on this #ActiveTranscript concept I've been exploring for #SeldonCrisis. This is a fairly short and largely standalone episode about the novel #Aurora by #KimStanleyRobinson and a few thoughts on the importance of #hope vs unconditional #optimsm. I want to share a couple of clips from the latest #SeldonCrisis episode, Aurora and Hope. The first part of the title comes from the 2015 novel by #KimStanleyRobinson about an interstellar voyage, and both clips are from a brief excerpt I read on the podcast.

In the first, the conversation is between the last remaining human on board and the starship itself, as they face a great likelihood of solar annihilation.
