Of course the ultimate denouement of #davidcameron 's "Big Society" vision was the highly embarrassing collapse of a #charity called "Kids Company". This triggered a joint investigation by two #selectcommittee s - which in turn found parts of the transcript turned into a musical called "Committee" which I can remember seeing in the Donmar Warehouse in the West End of #london . Only time I know of such proceedings being re enacted albeit in edited form!

Although people have appeared at the bar of the #houseofcommons from time to time to apologise and thus purge their contempt I understand that no one has actually been put in the cell in question since the #nineteenthcentury! So perhaps the authorities should check if it is usable. I might add that any sensible person expecting to appear before a #selectcommittee - as I did a bit over twenty years back - would know about this - just in case!

#SelectCommittee Chairman #BennieThompson sent fiery letter to #Georgia #GOP Rep. #BarryLoudermilk recently, letting the #Republican lawmaker know that they are in possession of evidence that directly contradicts his and other GOPers’ claims that lawmakers in the party did not give conveniently-timed #Capitol tours to individuals or groups just days before the attack, that could have given some of the rioters an advantage during the #siege.
