#animals are life. #cats and #dogs are amazing. I like #poetry. I am a casual #gamer with no friends. I mean that quite literally. I struggle a lot with friendships. I recently started playing #PokemonViolet. My starter was Sprigatito because, as I always do, I go for the one I find the cutest and Sprigatito reminds me of my cat, if my cat were combined with a leaf.
I am #disabled. This includes my autism but I am also disabled by an undiagnosed chronic illness that affects my digestive system mainly. Might be IBS but am unsure. Am on a very long waiting list for that.
I have bad #anxiety and when it is very severe, I can suffer with #selectivemutism. Basically, my body freezes and I can't talk.
I want more friends but I am scared of reaching out in Twitter as it is such a big space. This place feels more like a small community, even if it is growing massively, because of all the different servers. It means I can connect with people more on my wavelength.

Instagram used to be fun at the beginning but that's because there was some form of community amongst people doing a similar thing, now a lot just treat each other as competition and I never broke the 1k mark despite posting daily for years (I stopped 6 years ago due to working a regular job)

I need to work at moving away, but due to #SelectiveMutism I have never felt comfortable doing in-person events.

Due to this condition, I also struggle to approach galleries and shops so I feel stuck.

For me, it's not just the birdsite, it's also instagram, facebook, tiktok everywhere. I just struggle with all social media, I don't really enjoy it, I wish I didn't feel like I had to use it to try and promote my businesses especially as only facebook seems to drive traffic to my sites.

Things I’m problem solving at the moment.

- How to get students voice better integrated into the #EHCP process ready for their reviews so they’re more personal and helpful for them. So far I’ve got some talking mat style resources I’m developing but I’m not quite feeling it yet with them.

- How to further integrate a student with #SelectiveMutism who is also #Autistic with their peers in a comfortable positive way as is their wish.

I try hard to to keep things going but it feels so hard some days.

Seeing as I still can't upload pictures today let's talk about some of the projects I am working on.

I am currently an artist in residence at the #Blackpool school of art, I am developing new ceramic work, which is going to include some form of printing on #ceramics.

I am currently writing two manuscripts, one is about #selectivemutism the other is about #anxiety and #art

#introduction I’m a potter and a painter based in Lancashire, living by the seaside.

I create experimental ceramics using local materials from the beach, creating my own glazes. Back in 2016 I did a Masters research project in using online technology to teach traditional crafts like ceramics.

I’m a painter creating colour acrylics and watercolours based on local buildings.
