@benni except I'd argue it doesn't work for email. Small providers and #selfhosters are fighting a constant uphill battle against IP reputation and blocklists. I'd love to #selfhost email but instead am forced to use a commercial relay to ensure I can get reliable delivery.

Dear #selfhosters, is there a standard or at least best practice for putting an app platform behind a reverse proxy? Specifically, if an app platform user adds an app on a sub domain, how can the reverse proxy be notified to forward that subdomain to the correct IP? Current state-of-the-art seems to be: use wildcards to forward everything (not great, especially if you have more than one backend that can create new frontends), or manually update the RP config and reload (tedious).

I like that they use the #organic/#bio metaphor on their slides when describing what they do. This sounds much more appealing to a general audience than #privacy-friendly or, heaven forbid, privacy-compliant.

Chatons is independent from but closely connected to @Framasoft, the amazing francophone collective of #FOSS developers.
