This week is going to be ALL about grading. Grades are due next Tuesday and I fly out Monday morning. I’d love to be able to take myself out to a coffee shop or the library to grade, but because of that aforementioned flight, I CANNOT risk catching another damn cold or worse. #election night brings up the genuinely horrifying experience of the same night in 2016 when #45 somehow got elected. I drank too much and my husband held me while I cried. I'm a #sober #widow now and know I have no one to hold me if the world falls more apart. #selfpity post. I'll do a better intro soon.

Today I was reading stuff all day and understood close to nothing, and now I feel like I don't "have what it takes" to become a scientist. Whelp. Will get some ice cream now, and #tryagain tomorrow.

Healthy, godly #grief is, when we enter into #mourning with how #God sees our #hurt and #pain. Healthy grieving is productive and will lead us back to living an abundant #life.
It carries a #promise: #hope for #redemption.

Unhealthy mourning on the other hand is what some call #selfpity; caressing or caring for a #wound, but with the wrong #medicine.
It is being built upon a #lie, and thus will not bring #healing. Instead it'll let our wounds #fester and develop #hatred and #bitterness within.

For far too long he insisted that no #travelrestrictions for #China would be needed to limit the spread of the #Wuhan-type #Coronavirus. Guess what? We are ALL enjoying the result of this fuck-up.
