I made it to Neptune on my solar system socks! I'm at the point now where I'm counting down the rounds left before the cuff (yes, poor Pluto is going to be demoted to the cuff 😆). 20 to go!⁠

Fun Neptune fact: its moon Triton is geologically active, spewing water and organic compounds into space regularly. It’s amazing how commonly-available the ingredients for life are in our solar system!

Did you know that the best place for a human base in the Jupiter system is probably Callisto? It has lower levels of radiation than Jupiter's other major moons, and possibly a deep subsurface ocean for water.

I've reached Venus in my Our Solar System socks already! Personally, I find Venus to be a really fascinating planet, maybe mostly because it literally vaporizes any probe we send to its surface to learn more about it. So even though in a lot of ways Venus is the planet most similar to Earth, it's hard to study and there are still a lot of questions about it.⁠ Did you know it might have life in its atmosphere? 😯
