Today I learned #TSMC stands for Taiwan SeMiConductor. Pretty generic name, if you ask me.

Also, fun politics fact: Many people are afraid #China will try to attack and conquer #Taiwan soon. Due to TSMC's monopoly in the #semiconductor space (92% of the biggest semiconductor innovations are by them), China depends on them very heavily.
If they were to attack Taiwan, the Taiwanese government would immediately shut down TSMC, and with it China's semiconductor supply.

I'm listening to #semiconductor managers during the vast industry conference #semicon in Taipei. It's quite astonishing how companies can point at their (scope-ed) emissions, calling for swift change, and "stepping left" or "back" to redesign. #NetZero at the horizon yet far away. Mackenzie not playing around.

But the sustainability event where this is happening is detached from the 3500 booths arouns. The scope accounting feels off. Exhaust gas?, like the main source of emission.

This is the initial contact with a highway that will guide me to the Hoa Lac Park, where hardware and software magic happens. The highway is part of that infrastructure, starting some 30km away.
