So, is there any way to automatically delete tweets, remove likes and unboost as of today?
I don’t want to do it manually but by the time I tried #semiphemeral it wasn’t working anymore.

That's also required to get the self-hosted #semiphemeral to work.
And if you want to get started with the Twitter API today, each of your Twitter accounts needs to have a verified phone number tied in to it.

Hmmm. #Semiphemeral keeps giving me an error message saying my settings won’t let it delete anything, but when I go in my settings everything is correctly selected. Does anyone else get that problem?

How long is it supposed to take for it to be your turn to have your tweets downloaded by #Semiphemeral so you can delete them? I started the process 3 days ago and it still says “Waiting to download all of your tweets and likes as soon as it's your turn in the queue.” If it’s normal, the that’s fine, I can wait! But if it’s not, I’d like to know so I can do something about it…

CAn anyone tell me why #semiphemeral isn't deleting my tweets that are from 2013 and older? It has run successfully before, but has seemed to stall at this point. I still have about 3k tweets I'd like to nuke.

Twitter seems to have restored all my tweets from before 2016, after I used #semiphemeral to delete them. I wonder if they had to restore from a backup from before?

Semiphemeral currently adds duplicates to its tweet database intermittently. If you specify tweets you do not wish to delete (by ticking the boxes) but a duplicate gets added without you realising — say, after you ticked the boxes — and the duplicate remains unticked when it runs, it will delete the tweet you didn't want to delete.

(I have already written to the admin account over on the birdsite. I hope they fix this soon.)

@lamountain I'm stripping my account clean right now using #Semiphemeral

I learned a few tips.
After all tweets/msgs are deleted, I'll deactivate/reactivate to clear my follows/followers.
Then I'll lock the account and let it rot.

If your account is completely deleted, people can then impersonate you.

So I plan to remove everything, lock it and leave it as an empty skeleton.

@OLEPS I've committed. I'm closing my Twitter account right now. Just waiting for #Semiphemeral to download all my Tweets.

Setup #semiphemeral to delete everything over 1 day old on Ye Olde Byrde Syte. The death rattle is there. I'd be surprised if it survives the year.
