Today's #fettisdagen in #Sweden and it's traditional to eat a type of baked goods called a #semla. I made some (all very ugly) in the airfryer.

We also honoured #PancakeDay to keep things fair. 🥞

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday, and I have not made any #semlor... nor will I have the time to clear off the flat surfaces in the kitchen in order to make any tomorrow.

Oh well. There's nothing that says I can't make them any other day of the year.

But, there aren't even any #Pączki to be had that aren't several days old at the supermarket.

I'm no longer Catholic, but I just don't understand WHY THERE ARE NO PRE-LENTEN BAKED GOODS IN THIS CITY.

At my Swedish husband’s request, today I made semlor - a Shrove Tuesday tradition in Sweden. (Singlar is “semla”). Cardamom cream buns with an almond paste filling. Amazing with coffee. 🇸🇪 #semla #semlor

Jag ville bara berätta för @Mastodon att jag bakat å kladdat ihop minisemlor. Att dom blev fula hör inte hit, att det blev för mkt mandelmassa är redan glömt för de gjordes med känslan av fredag och kanske ev nåt starkt att dricka till..och de som blev bjudna håller fortfarande god ton så..
