It was exhilarating to se the email autoreply sweeping into action today. Last week’s “projects” day was slightly high jacked by a last minute finding bid that fell over. At the last minute (partnership issues 😢). I’m slowly giving up on the idea of returning to #AcWri tomorrow. I really need a decompression day *even tho* I’m by degrees falling back in love with this #rural #archaeology piece (which I just need more time for…!) in my #sensoRoma thoughtscape. Today I’ll be submerged in #AcWri till the encroaching dusk sends me out for exercise and air. I’ve a lot of ground to cover. Mostly in the #sensoRoma part of my current work. Looking today at how to compare and contrast Roman villa suburbana and (Lazio) country villas from PoV of how they represent and visualise elite iconization (as “product”) of rural landscape imagery.

I ought to do #introductions again having moved “instance”: much of my time/energy revolves around being Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences, which I reflect using #LibArtSci. #Classics & #AncMed research is squeezed *a lot*, but still circles the Roman Republican polymath M. Terentius Varro, see #VarroVerse. I’m thinking more again about enviro-landscape tropes in (Roman) antiquity, & their sensory aspects, see #sensoRoma (when I start that thread). So #histodons and #LitStudies are also my people.
