I usually sand my #epoxy #resin pieces to a gloss but I am so sick of #sanding that I tried finishing a set of magnet sliders with UV resin. I sanded the surface up to 600 grit and then cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. After curing, the top coat instantly delaminated when I pulled the masking tape off the edges. I want to offer a word of hope to those with #chronic #illness especially #sensory noise / dysfunction & #pain.
I never thought it would happen, but I'm enjoying some old activities again. For the first time in years, there has been an ecstatic experience of nature; severe #tinnitus, #visualsnow & pain seemed swallowed up in a larger picture, & my mind could appreciate external beauty. I thought such an experience was lost forever, but the seemingly impossible happened, and soberly. Keep going!

My first question raided at this months council meeting was as follows:
“Brimbank's 2022-2026 Disability Action Plan was released around 4 months ago, yet there is no reference to Neurodivergent people (other than reference to a symbol identifier), let alone any planning to ensure their inclusion in our community. Neurodivergent people should not need to wait until 2026 before their barriers to inclusion in Brimbank events will be considered, so what action is Brimbank City Council taking, to ensure their inclusion is possible at council run events?”

Hi everyone. I started a #PETITION to end the use of FIREWORKS in #Brimbank. I have been in communication with council but it seems they are no longer responding...though the petition is already gaining support.

Whilst #fireworks may be pretty & enjoyed by some, they have negative impacts on people with #sensory conditions & #PTSD, our #environment & on both our companion animals & wildlife.
People can leave the area when given notice, however, there is usually insufficient notice provided. #Council will also advise we take counter measures for our companion #animals (which in most cases do not work), but we can do nothing to quash the harm that befalls our #wildlife as a consequence of their use, including their DEATH!

Can I please ask you all to SIGN & SHARE the PETITION with family & friends? The louder our voice, the better chance we have getting action on this issue - & yes it is an issue for as long as it has negative impacts.

I'm not calling for a total #ban - there are alternatives that can be used much more safely (& sustainably); such as drones & laser shows, & I actively encourage the transition.
It would be wonderful if we could end the harm coming to animals & #people in this area, who are traumatised ALL throughout December & again in January.

You do not need to be a Brimbank resident to support this petition!
