5.) survive and walk off all the cortisol

Probably too much socialising over the past 24 hours.

The summer holidays are coming up here, and I'm more scared than happy.

My 5-year-old expressively stated that he hates when rooms are silent and needs to fill the air with constant talking, babbling, humming, music or audiobooks.

I, on the other hand get #sensoryOverload easily and then need quiet for a while. I'm not mad at him, we just have diverging needs.

Nothing like spending a week at a family members house in peace and quiet than returning home and being forced to face how loud it is. I feel like I'm going to crawl out of my skin. Not only that but my cats missed me so I'm living the sweet torture of them constantly seeking my attention but followed by every noise is setting me off. #SensoryIssues #SensoryOverload #cats

I knew I would be ill after going out yesterday, but oh boy, its been ridiculous. Seriously low blood pressure all day, random new pains and utterly wiped out. Spent most of the day sleeping and reading, blood pressure is still low but slowly getting better. Now I just need my senses to calm down, everything smells intense and everything is too loud.

#Driving is the scariest thing in the world to me. It completely overwhelms me and gives me #anxiety. I’ve been trying to do it since I’ve been 19. Numerous permits, had my license for years but don’t drive. I’m taking professional lessons now and finally making #progress. I’ve felt awful about this for years and I’m finally starting to let go.

My first question raided at this months council meeting was as follows:
“Brimbank's 2022-2026 Disability Action Plan was released around 4 months ago, yet there is no reference to Neurodivergent people (other than reference to a symbol identifier), let alone any planning to ensure their inclusion in our community. Neurodivergent people should not need to wait until 2026 before their barriers to inclusion in Brimbank events will be considered, so what action is Brimbank City Council taking, to ensure their inclusion is possible at council run events?”
