I had just sat down in my computer class sophomore year of high school when the planes hit the towers. Our teacher brought in a TV and put the news on. No one said a word. Dead silence as we all tried to absorb and process what was happening. Then dread as we wondered where else terrorists might be launching attacks. All our differences in age, gender, race, religion, music taste, style, etc ceased to matter in an instant. For a change, for at least a week or two afterward, we talked about things that actually matter….life stuff. Grief, anger, and bewilderment mingling in a tangled mess of emotions.

Time has passed but the pain of loss hasn’t dulled any. #September11th

There will be better people tomorrow who don't or at least put it behind a warning.

Hard to believe it's been 22 years since that September morning. It truly was a beautiful morning in the city before the world changed.

I guess it's now just a history lesson. Study the lessons. Remember how we came together before heading in all the wrong directions. Don't use the imagery for your own propaganda.
