On 14th August 2023 I had 2 #Canon1100D cameras shooting the #MilkyWay from my garden in Oxfordshire, UK. 10mm shots: 25x25sec ISO-3200 f/4.5. 50mm shots: 45 & 49x10sec ISO-1600 f2.2. Stacked with 20 darks using #Sequator. Click the images to view in full #UKMilkyWay #Astrophotography

Photos of the #MilkyWay work better every year. This time I made an additional exposure for the foreground.
25x20s for the Milky Way stacked, with #Sequator and 5min for the foreground.

#MilkyWay 6-paned panorama from North #Oxfordshire, UK Sat 20th May '23. Each pane was 5 x 25sec ISO-1600 f/4.5, stacked with #Sequator then stitched with #MicrosoftICE. It was very hazy, I accidently shot everything in jpeg + messed up the overlaps, so I'm happy with the result considering!

Up pretty early this morning and went outside to look for the elusive "Green Comet". I've been out a few times and haven't seen it yet.
So, what else does one do at 3:30 am in the middle of the backyard but shoot #stars?
I am still amazed at how well the new camera does in capturing the light from distant stars. Easily 98% of these I couldn't see with just my eyes.

I grabbed this from the #Sequator website. This is a bare bone star stacking program available for free.
I just thought this to be a very good quote on how to make anything better by not making it complicated.
"Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away."
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a French poet

This is straight off the camera as I still haven't figured out why I'm getting such terrible results from #Sequator but I'll post a cleaner version when I get it figured out. f1.8 10s ISO2000 3700K
