Now when Keizai[1] are live, bugs squashed, and an PWA on its way + more features, I will try to add support for PGP/GPG (haven't understood the difference yet) for added security.
When Keizai are done and runs smoothly, I might focus on continuing making Serenum[2] better. Or on my personal website, or on my blog, or... I don't know. I have many projects planned π

I bought a VPS few days ago. Moved vaultwarden, Mumble, and linkding to it. Works so good! And I am so happy with finally having the latest version of the Mumble server π
Currently moving Serenum to the new server. And after that, I'll move airikr.me and and the subdomains I have on it, too.
When all migration are done, I can finally just relax and backup important files on my RPi and then format and install a OS on it π
Feels so good! No more downtime for my websites!
My electricity company will switch something to something new and they will cut the power to do this.
They said on the paper I got from them that they will make the switch between January 9th and January 13th between 7 am and 8 pm. That time frame for a work that only takes 30 minutes?! π€ Will call them tomorrow to ask if they know any specific date and time.
Anyway. Both of my servers will be shutdown before I go to bed tonight. My websites will be down, including Serenum.
The new API for Serenum[1] are now done. Instead of taking data from OpenWeatherMap, Serenum API will be using MET Norway (api.met.no).
Reason: https://fosstodon.org/@edgren/108578127392028238
But before I will upload the new API, I need to be done with 1 big project. Don't know when that project will be done. Will work on it today and/or tomorrow, though.

Ok, so with the result from last poll[1] about Serenum[2], I can't resist to wonder, do you think you will use Serenum quite often?
Why I am asking this is because I have an update in mind (for an example, switch from OpenWeatherMap to met.no for better privacy) and want to know how much I need to prioritize this update.

Just out of curiousity, do you know what Serenum is?

My landlord was here this morning and said that all changes that will be made to the stairwell and basement is very, very near and that I need to hurry.
So I need to throw away a lot of stuff and also move my NAS, external HDD, and the RPi server up from the basement to the apartment.
Need to plan this so it will not take a long time. All my websites (including Serenum) are on the RPi server. Will take a backup before shutting it down in case something goes wrong.
Last day on the island at the west coast of Sweden. It was cloudy during the day, but got clear sky in late evening.
Currently "chasing" stars and planets with the system camera. Got good photos of a beautiful northern lights last night and now got good photos of the Milky Way.
Can't wait to edit these tomorrow π
Attached photo is taken with my Nokia 7.2 with no tripod. It's kinda freezing. Serenum says only +12.8 C, feels like +10.4 C.

I have an idea on an alternative design for Serenum.
As of now, the options are hidden with the details element. What if having the options visible all the time and with `position: sticky;`?
So when you're looking at the weather, the options will always be easily available for you, no matter how far down you are on the page.
If you can, picture this idea in your head while you're watching the current design at https://serenum.org/weather
So, what do you think?

Current home screen on my new Nokia XR20.
The sensors are of course disabled via developer options.

serenum.org are temporarly down due to switching domain hosting. Should be up again within 43 hours, hopefully sooner.
New icons, favicon, and logo to Serenum are now live! What do you think about them?
And thank you for helping me with this, @joel π

Since OpenWeatherMap logs a lot about those who calls data from their API, I will make a switch to met.no instead. met.no are also FOSS, just like what Serenum API are.
I am awaiting met.no to reply to my email about if they log anything about those who calls data from their API.

Light theme has been released! Let me know what you think π
#serenum #privacy #opensource #weather
It is quite hard to create a light theme after getting use to the dark theme.
Serenum have got positive reactions on Lemmy so far π

A friend found a very old screenshot of when Serenum was called VΓ€dret just nu (Weather right now) and was Swedish-only π€© I think the screenshot is from between 2015 and 2017.
The current design and name are so much better! β€οΈ
