We keep coming back to #StorySynth for online play because it makes it all so easy. This week we played a clone of For the Queen that tweaks the premise but provides quite different prompts, a game called For the Heir.

We used the short 1-act version but it turned out provided plenty to come up with a decent story.

Finished the second half of Fiends of the Hollow Mine. I am reminded that I am a lil sick of playing with incompetent players and am very grateful for my A+ RP friends who also have their sheets straight in combat. Rogue forgot the session and popped in during the boss battle lol.

Excited to follow up with Nabi the sorc now that she can talk to her ghost!

I finally got to play Fedora Noir by @chobbs. I backed the kickstarter long ago, but we used the abbreviated version on #StorySynth (which is a great resource at https://storysynth.org) to ease online play. I enjoyed it immensely even though I was neither the detective nor their hat. We mixed bits from Chinatown, Murder My Sweet, and The Big Sleep.

Last session! The party confronted the Duchess-Regent and murdered her. Poor Tzaborvir got the kill and it was his first ever murder so he will be Sad. Shout out to Berrian who didn’t feel like getting involved in drama and skipped the boss fight to write a food review for their tavern.

First session of our #hades inspired campaign. Interesting to see roguelike mechanics integrated into dnd. Very fun! I was worried after session zero that I wouldn’t like the party but we meshed well and I’m getting a hang of my character’s personality.

Yeoraem (eladrin watcher paladin) VS Birion (dwarf champion fighter)

It was a good battle but I lost and Birion proceeds to the semifinals. This is actually good since he will be fighting another one of my characters and a me VS me fight would have sucked. Birion’s dwarven resilience feat + periapt of wound closure is an OP combo but well-deserved for finding it haha.

Just semifinals and finals to go!

In this week's game, we played L&F hack, *One Last Job* by @yuigaron.

Our heist was a series of the wrong personnel and flubbed roles, but we all made it out intact. Well, sort of.

First session with my new PC Liron (shifter paladin) I get a Bag of Holding and put my old PC’s body into it for safekeeping. Liron somehow befriended Theyrn the perptually grumpy and Patrick had some great moments teaching Theyrn that violence isn’t the only answer.

Finished the cyberpunk oneshot from a while ago. As chaotic as last time with one player trying to stream and another talking over the DM at every chance. Had some fun though since my sorc was very flavorful. Ahhh at least it’s over. Don’t think I’m going to join in next time this particular DM pitches something. Not really my style -_-;

We played about half of a Pathfinder oneshot today, all of us new to the system. I was not aided by the poor GM also being new and therefore none of us really knowing the rules. I think since I play so much 5e it was too similar for me the grasp the differences well. I think I’m going to stick to non-d20 systems when learning new ones from now on -_-; Good effort tho
