Why are there people today that reject it or is it just in the D&D circle coz I remember the response to safety tools for horror and domains of dreads was why play horror if you're scared of violence

#SessionZero für #Vaesen gestern lief soweit sehr gut. Es kommen mindestens zwei neue Charaktere dazu, diesmal neben einem Diener kommt zum ersten Mal der neue Archetype Socialite aus der englischen Erweiterung dazu ins Königreich Bayern, ein bisschen in Anlehnung an den Lola Skandal haben wir eine sehr gut vernetzte Spanierin dabei mit einen jungen Diener. Bin mal gespannt wie das diese Woche live laufen wird. #pnpde

Today is #Thanksgiving here in the states, but tomorrow is #SessionZero for a new #Exalted3E campaign I’m playing in. First time participating in a game not as a GM in nearly a year, and I’m super stoked. 😁

@ExabyteProtogen Doing a #sessionzero with your players to flesh out their backstory can give some great plot hooks to get started with if you want to go more sandbox. Asking them why they are working together and what they hope to do is great to get a plot moving!

I am about to start up a #bladesinthedark game with some great old friends who are new to #ttrpg other than dnd.

Any tips for drawing them into the more narrative space a #fitd game runs on? I am going to try to highlight how the collaborative storytelling will be different in our #sessionzero and am excited about our learning curve as we play to find out what happens!

So, after todays #SessionZero I have a Grumpy Dryad Mechanic and a Cheerful Clockwork Student, hanging out in a (officially) nonexistant and (actually) somewhat shady department of the gormenghastian University of Dis.

Also mentioned: Longstanding feuds between the Department of Longivity and the Department of Immortality, asassination-to-prove-a-thesis, the one insufferable dude who thinks he knows EVERYTHING because he read the fantasy equivalent of Hegel and flying machines.

Huh, todays "Session None" went well and, if all wrks out, we'll have a #SessionZero next friday!

It's planned to be a #PlanarchCodex game, most likely using #WorldOfDungeons and run on Roll20. :blobaww:

I'm annoyed that I can't call what happens before a "Session 0" Session -1, because I'm too much of a computer nerd to parse that as anything except the LAST session in a campaign.

The fact that I realize how absurd that is makes worse.
