Since doing tech on my channel, I’ve had an overhead camera to get a view in on what I’m working on. I decided recently to change from an old Hard Drive camcorder to my old S21 Ultra. Well, that lasted 1 filming. Sure the S21 has a better camera but I hate it. It’s overly complex for my needs and I can’t see the screen. I’m going back to the camcorder, even if it is ancient. #contentcreator #retrorepairs #setups #videorecording

I do #guitar #setups and #repairs now and then, for friends only. One of these friends loved the sound and playability of one of my own #guitars, a simple and quite old #Yamaha RGX-112P.
But my guitar was not for sale, so I looked around for one. After a while I found one online with the following text above the picture:
"Cut open once for repairs".
Thanks, but no thanks.

Most of my screen time is spent coding. I’ve moved off the multi-screen setup in favour of a 43” 4K 4:4:4 chroma TV monitor. I have vision issues and the larger display can really help me. Its nice to have a wide display - but also one that has enough vertical real estate for reading logs or large code windows. How about you?

When I went to replace my iMac 2017 with a Mac Studio, I decided to go with the intriguing LG DualUp display. It's a 28-inch 18:16 aspect ratio IPS display w/ 2560x2880 res @ ~140dpi. It has USB-C input and two HDMI inputs where you can display two 2560x1440 feeds stacked.
I use it rotated for 18:16 @ 2880x2560 native and I run it scaled at 2304x2048 -- feels just right. A monitor with this aspect ratio makes sense.
It is the most enjoyable monitor I have ever used. If gaming and whole-movie watching isn't your main use case (I use multiple shells, nice tall browsers, and write code on it), then it's worth a look. I've spoken about this over at the bird-place, but I think not here, as yet.
