"The Picnic," Georges Seurat, c.1885.
OK, I'm still not wild about Seurat's overall work, but this is nice. (Sorry, I still feel the people in his famous "Sunday Afternoon" look like wooden props!) And appropriate as we close in on Labor Day, when everyone'll be getting in one last picnic. Seurat's lack of detail here gives the pic a hazy, dreamlike feel.

I recently found a Pachter Lab paper recomending proportional fitting and log1p normalisation (i.e. PFlog1pPF) and I've been trying to implement a function that is able to do this of a counts matrix in a way that makes Seurat happy. But I do not know enough about the Seurat object structure. I'll keep this updated in case I see some progress.

Why can't the authors deposit the table with the correspondence between cell barcode and cell type (and sub-type assignment? Just save the whole #seurat object meta.data or sce colData and be done with it.
