I loved #Seveneves and #Reamde. I enjoyed but was less excited by #Cryptonomicon.
Can anyone recommend another #NealStephenson book for me to read?

DOC: You misread the 4th letter as a defective R. A natural mistake since we no longer use the old glyph F, which it resembles. Instead we use the Cyrillic phi:

#seveneves may be the most epic sci-fi story I've ever read. I'm completely smitten with it.

While it's got some good ideas (Time Monks! Meme Hygiene!), it's awfully kludgy and slow. Especially compared to #SnowCrash or #Seveneves which are both dense, but move along at pace.

Having a tough #fibromyalgia flare-up this afternoon, so just doing some random knitting and listening to #Seveneves by #NealStephenson on audio.

@Flitterhob Hmm... well, I see it most in #SciFi and #Fantasy, for obvious reasons. Also #PostApocalyptic fiction because, by definition, characters are (re)building a world. Have you read anything by #SMStirling? Also a huge fan of #Seveneves (#NealStephenson) - both are sort of crossovers, in that they start and/or are based in a familiar world and then head in a world-building direction. Interesting fiction with #magic also appeals. I'll ponder others - same question back to you!
