This is a fun photo from Saturday. The signaller and driver are exchanging tokens. The tokens are permission to be on a single line of track, so the driver is giving back the one for the track that they've been on and the signaller is giving him a new one for the track section that they are about to travel on.

Delving into my archives today.
On 10 Jun 2008, GWR King Class locomotive 6024 "King Edward I" pulled the Royal Train on the Severn Valley Railway. The Prince of Wales (now King Charles III) and the Duchess of Cornwall (now the Queen Consort) were aboard.

I like including context in a photograph. In this case another photographer is taking a photo of the train leaving the tunnel.
It hides the fact that the tunnel is in so much shadow that it wouldn't be much of a shot otherwise!

Today, I've spent a rainy day at the Severn Valley Railway. Been fun to take photos and be in the countryside.
This locomotive is called Taw Valley and was painted purple as part of Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee earlier this year.
