Just learned that Jamie Reid, the artist behind The Sex Pistols’ iconic record cover art, died last week. Hard to think of any other illustrations that defined the punk era more than his work.

RIP #JamieReid. What a talent, and produced some of the most iconic images and artistic styles of the modern rebellious era.
The #SexPistols stuff will take the headlines, and righty so, but one of my fav albums, Crank by The Almighty will always be, for me, his best work. (I even have it on t-shirt!)

Sad news. I was young when the Sex Pistols were about, but but my older brother had all of the records, and I was fascinated by sleeves, especially God Save The Queen, as it was just so naughty (I was 4). We had just received a Silver Jubilee pack at school and then I would go home and look at the sleeve with a safety pin through her nose.
