This photo was taken in October of 1960 by Charles Cushman, looking east up O'Farrell from Buchanan. This scene is no longer in existence as ground was broken for Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption about four years later. I assume, then, that the area became known as Cathedral Hill AFTER the church was built?
