I just learned that one of my #SFWA mentees has been accepted to #ViableParadise and I'm chuffed for them! I think at this point I know something like a quarter of the 2023 class. Y'all are going to have a great experience.

Very glad my mentor has gotten me into the habit of keeping weekly productivity logs this summer. This past week outside, forces have been generating a lot of stress & anxiety that have sapped my mental energy. I was feeling crappy about how the week went until I opened up my week 8 log, updated it, and saw that my feelings of creative failure were mostly false perception. Without realizing it, I met all of my goals for the week. 😊

Had a great first meeting w/ my @SFWA mentor, @omgjulia this morning. We spent almost 2 hours chatting about our writing journeys, our publishing experiences, talking about the nourishment that writing communities give us, the struggles of balancing work & family & self (physical & mental).

I have a homework assignment that involves daily tracking of various things & I am simply jazzed for what's ahead.
