It was packed with creatives & attendees —thanks to the organizers for requiring masking & having them available for those who didn’t bring their own 😁😷🖖 This is good organizing, folks. They put so much care & work into putting on a truly diverse—in all senses—event, & it’s thriving!

So busy I didn’t have an opportunity to get away from my table to see much (or eat lunch)!😭

My last two items that I picked up at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 — a set of comics making up a graphic novel memoir of being a science fiction fan in the 70s, and a comic about growing up online.

After the event, I took the F Market streetcar because I could edit and post my pictures on the way home. (The J stops closer to my home but I don’t get a signal when it is underground.)

Met Lydia of Third Iris Zine at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 when I saw the Tarot Insights zine (of course I was going to get it).

Really happy to see Lawrence Lindell at #SFZineFest #SFZineFest2023; I’ve been reading his work for a long time, and I’m really glad to get his first graphic novel from a major publisher!

Glad to stop by and see @tylerzonia at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 and pick up Semantic Shift and this really cool art card. Tyler introduced me to Dorian Katz, who made This Zine Does Not Meet Community Standards.

Glad to see @BijouType again this year at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023; we first met in person in 2001 when we were both original gay bloggers.

Ran into Maia Kobabe at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 and I got em to sign some zines. The tiny GENDER QUEER COMICS mini zine is something that Maia gave me in 2017 (!) at the Queers & Comics conference that Justin Hall and Jen Camper put together.

@chunshek: I told Maia that you were a big fan, and e was really pleased.

I’m going to head over the #SFZineFest today at City View at the Metreon. It’s today from 11-5, and is always a fun event. I hope I can run into @tylerzonia and @BijouType while I’m there.

Maia Kobabe is the guest of honor. I haven’t seen eir since I got the deluxe hardcover of Gender Queer, so I’m going to bring that by to get it signed.

Just finished sorting through all the pins, and picked out the perfect ones and put them on cards.

I'll be bringing a few of these to the SF Zine Fest. I have no idea if anyone will like them. But if they do, I might start making more with different designs.
