After 6 h, I now finished the demo of #ShadowGambit and immediately bought the full game. If you like pirates, puzzles or stealth or liked Commandos, Desperados or Shadow Tactics, give it a try, it's really fun. The demo lets you try out the main character and two more characters in one short and two full missions. It has full voice acting in several languages of which I tested German and English and both are great. I had zero bugs and it runs great on the #SteamDeck. #MimimiGames

I just learned that #MimimiGames will be shutting down. Sad news! 😿 To me they were the most relevant #German #GameDev studio these days. They single-handedly revived and perfected the real time #stealth #tactics genre, which I believed long dead at that point. I so, so much hope some other studio(s) will pick up where they left – with #ShadowGambit they definitely went out with a bang!

Ich bin geschockt, auch wenn das aus menschlicher Sicht absolut verständlich ist. Dem Standort Deutschland bricht somit ein tolles Entwicklerstudio weg.

I rarely play games right when they are out, either because I cannot afford them or because I need to wait for a PC port. This time, I missed the release because I'm not watching as much gaming news as I used to but then stumbled upon #ShadowGambit at #Gamescom. So there's three factors that will help Mimimi sell the game to me: The game was presented at a faire, they were available to talk to and they provide a demo of the game on Steam. #marketing

I just noticed that Desperados III, which is on my wishlist, and Shadow Tactics, which I know from Gameranx videos, are also by Mimimi Games, just as Shadow Gambit which I currently play (and enjoy, since I configured it to my needs). I discovered several games at this year's #Gamescom and the first one I tried after the event is Shadow Gambit. I liked the art style, talked to a woman of Mimimi games and figured I might like the game and the stealth realtime tactics thing in general. So far, I like it. :) The characters are cool and the mechanics are fun so far. The "you can quicksave" reminders are too often though and while it runs well on the #SteamDeck, the small screen can be hindering at times. #ShadowGambit #IndieGames

Ich bin ja gerade in meinen Maus- und Spielfähigkeiten noch stark eingeschränkt. Mit dem Programm für virtuelle Mausklicks sind schnelle Reaktionen nicht möglich. Ich bin ehrlich überrascht, dass ich #ShadowGambit trotzdem ganz gut spielen kann. 6/6

Durch den "Schattenmodus" können Handlungen der Crew vorgeplant und dann abgespielt werden. Das nimmt wunderbar zeitlichen Druck und erleichtert vor allem die Bedienung von #ShadowGambit bei maus-only. 5/x

Es lebt vom Kreislauf "Speichern - Ausprobieren - Neuladen". Somit kann jederzeit gespeichert werden und bei #ShadowGambit wird es sogar in die Story eingewoben. Durch die unterschiedlichen Fähigkeiten der Crew-Mitglieder ist für verschiedene Spielstile etwas dabei. 2/x
