#VendrediLecture en retard avec deux livres en espagnol de #JuegoDeRol #JeuDeRôle #jdr :

1. "Ser Rolero. Una guía práctica" ("Être rôliste. Un guide pratique") d'Álvaro Loman (auteur sur la série de jdr "La Fin du monde"), ShadowLands, juillet 2023 (c'est tout frais paru).

Un livre entier destiné à se préparer à expliquer ce qu'est le jeu de rôle aux gens qui ne le savent pas et/ou ont des préjugés dessus. La première question que ça a suscité chez moi a été : "Bigre, le jdr est encore à ce point marginal et impopulaire en Espagne ?"

Le livre est intéressant, bien maquetté, amplement et joliment illustré. Il y a un côté "ouvrage de communication" puisque tout tourne autour de la façon dont on conçoit des explications à divers formats (une ou deux phrases, 5-10 minutes ou toute une conférence), pour divers publics, en apprenant à mettre en avant ce qu'on aime soi-même dans le loisir etc.
L'auteur a tenu à insuffler tout un tas de notions issues du jeu de rôle dans le livre, si bien qu'il nous invite à nous choisir un archétype de rôliste (repris de la classification de Robin D. Law), à remplir une fiche de perso, à choisir parmi des compétences, etc. C'est rigolo mais je trouve que ça brouille un peu le propos du livre... ou alors, c'est simplement que je ne suis pas encore si fortiche que ça en espagnol !

L'ensemble est perfectible dans sa structure et parfois un brin redondant, mais il n'y a rien de très grave. Pour un lecteur français, les éléments de contexte de base sur la situation du jeu de rôle en Espagne manquent au début, mais on les trouve à la fin. On y apprend notamment qu'il y a eu une affaire criminelle en Espagne en 1994 qui a été récupérée par des conservateurs et des médias peu scrupuleux pour lancer une panique morale, exactement comme Carpentras en 1998 chez nous... le tout s'inspirant pas mal du mouvement BADD contre D&D aux États-Unis quelques années auparavant. Édifiant.

2. "Personas y Dados. Una guía para diseñar uegos de rol" ("Personnages et dés. Un guide pour concevoir des jeux de rôle"), par Jorge Coto Bautista Tiberio, HT publishers, 2021.

Je n'en suis qu'au premier tiers, mais j'aime beaucoup. C'est un petit guide de poche d'environ 140 pages, qui propose un recueil de conseils pour créer son jeu de rôle.

C'est simple, dépouillé au niveau de la maquette, mais c'est clair, pédagogique et concis, ça va droit au but et ça donne mine de rien beaucoup matière à réfléchir. Certains conseils sont basiques quand on a déjà écumé les blogs en ligne ou la collection "Sortir de l'auberge" du Lapin-marteau, mais j'ai l'impression que les deux se complètent, notamment en termes de format (c'est plus court, moins lourd et moins cher). Il faut déjà être rôliste pour en profiter, car l'auteur prévient qu'il ne réexplique pas ce que c'est qu'un jeu de rôle, mais il mentionne de nombreux exemples, compare des systèmes, etc. À suivre quand je l'aurai terminé, mais pour le moment il me paraît très convaincant.

Xogo de rol: The #Troubleshooters (#Shadowlands). Recomendo moito! Gustoume, pero máis me gustou a mecánica de Puntos de Historia (sobre todo as Complicacións). Estrañamente, é unha mecánica que xa vira antes noutros xogos (Fate), pero neste foi distinto. Teño que pensar por que. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Found this in my Facebook memories today. As someone who has played a #nightelf and #druid in #warcraft for 17? years now (omg that long!) seeing Ysera made my heart sing. When she died, I admit I cried, literally bawled my eyes out at my computer. I couldn’t continue #shadowlands after I hit max level because it felt so hollow. In the new expansion, I feel her absence. You may jest about being upset by lore, or a game, but dedicate over a decade to it and see if you don’t have some emotion.

And then there's me, who hasn't logged into Shadowlands with my Paladin since I've lost interest in pushing his Renown with the Kyrians, so I just found out about the kickass transmog-questline given by Lady Liadrin!
I love the colour scheme (Word Bearers, yeah!) and the design.

Oh, and you get a nice polearm and a rather bland Hawkstrider mount, too.

I'm all here for transmogs. Just me, playing with my Ken-dolls.

Venimos de #Shadowlands, que si bien tiene sus más y sus menos (personalmente, prometía más de lo que llegó a ser), su lore es denso y la historia compleja. En #Dragonflight el lore es (aparentemente) más sencillo y fácil de digerir, lo cual se agradece.

I am quite pleased so far with #WoW's #DragonFlight. It's already a million times better than #Shadowlands. It hasn't hooked me in like #Pandaria or #Legion did, but it's close. I hit level 70 today without even trying and there's so much left to do!

Today marks two years since a close friend of mine suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. It was 3 days after #Shadowlands launched.

Him passing gave a very real weight to the whole atmosphere of Shadowlands. It was something I hadn’t really felt before from a video game. I know lots of people aren’t fans of Shadowlands, but it definitely holds a deeper experience for me.

@Belghast I bounce back and forth as well. When I started #transition I totally dropped it. I came back near the end of #BfA which I really liked. #ShadowLands not so much. #DragonFlight I'm enjoying so far.

Yes the leveling experience in #wow #dragonflight is pretty good (though I remember everyone saying that about #shadowlands at this point too).

But what I’m thinking about is do I want to do it again on my alts? Do I want to have to unlock each shrine, gather the dragonriding glyphs, grind the professions and their specializations? The answer there at this point in the expansion is a hard ‘no’.

I've built up quite a few Sandworn relics over the course of S3 & S4 of #Shadowlands in #Warcraft, even with sending them to alts for gear, I still have 4,598 left.
Turned those in 28x antecedent drapes... which were vendored for 1,653g
Had 118x relics left over.
