Giovanni is not so difficult to defeat. If Mega #Lucario were available, it could probably defeat the entire lineup, even w/ Nidoking.

I put #Garchomp in the front and immediately switch to Lucario w/ Power-up Punch. Garchomp with Sand Tomb works best.
