Been trying to find out more about the filming locations for SHWD. According to “Films that Work: Industrial Fim and the Productivity of Media,” it was filmed on the outskirts of Pittsburg, Kansas on old coal mining land. Google Maps lists a couple of “Mined Land Wildlife Areas” to the east of town, but I’m still lost beyond that at this point …
