Carcharocles Megalodon for #SharkSunday

#Megalodon was the terrifying monster of the oceans during the #Miocene and early #Pliocene epochs.

As big as a school bus, this beast prowled the open seas, devouring anything in it's path. It would swallow today's Great White #sharks whole.

This tooth was found in a South Carolina coastal river and measures approx. 102mm in length (4+ inches).
