#shawfestival #notl Wonderful time at Niagara-on-the-lake and at the Shaw festival. Saw three plays. A very fun farce, a good musical, and one that was just ok. Lots to do and see aside from the plays. A great mini vacation.

Went to see part I of the Shaw Festival’s production of “Mahabharata” today and am walking away with one (okay, there are more) message sticking in my head: “They live in harmony because they share the same truth. When we do not share the same truth, war is inevitable.” Meanwhile, here we are living in a world where everyone feels entitled not only to •have• their own truth, but the right to force it on others.
