Durante il CES 2023 Shelly ha annunciato il supporto allo standard Matter per gli attuali modelli Plus, Pro e per tutti i prodotti che saranno lanciati in futuro. Al momento non è chiaro, per i possessori di Shelly Plus o Pro, come sarà possibile integrare i dispositivi su Apple HomeKit. In assenza di QR Matter, presumibilmente, tramite un toggle nell’app Shelly Cloud, come accede sull’app Eve.

#HomeAssistant update, a quick report.

#ShellyCloud 'Button 1' rechargeable switches. Using them as bedside light switches so we can manage the bedside lights that are otherwise on an HA automation. Had to enable some sort of cloud connection using the Shelly app before these would work with the Shelly integration. They are slow in operation for some reason that I have yet to look into - it takes several seconds - like 3 or 4 - to turn a light on or off. I'd rate these as a 6/10 so far, deducting points for difficulty of setup (cloud) and slow operation:

#Philips #WiZ R20 lights. These require the WiZ app in order to set them up, but no cloud connection required, nor WiZ account, and once they are on the wifi network, set up in HA using the WiZ integration is straightforward. These are only about $15 each and support full RGBW operation. Rating 10/10 so far. Only found the R20 versions at Home Depot, strangely, despite googling:

Has anyone else had issues ordering from shelly.cloud in the USA?

Ordered a Shelly Uni 10 days ago, the credit card was charged, then crickets. Opened a support ticket 2 days ago, they are "checking with the US team".

In the meantime ordered a second from Ameridroid, which is out for delivery today. So, yay for that, but curious about ordering from the Shelly site and whether that is typically problematic?

I usually prefer z-wave but to make single leg (no neutral) switches smart you cannot beat a Shelly 1L.
Easy to pair via WiFi and you can turn off cloud access if you don’t have an IoT vlan.
These are numbers 2 and 3 for my install.
