Back when PayPal made proof of name mandatory, I used a Visa gift card to open an account. The gift card has some generic catch-all name, but for transactions you can use whatever name you want and it'll authorize it. Henceforth on Paypal, my real-life authenticated name is Peter Dickbutt. (It's not my real name... I promise!)

A weird side effect of being kind and cynical at the same time, is that I occasionally make donations throughout the year, and that name shows up on the receipts whenever I use Paypal for it. 🤣

The story is full of hope and supportive love within a strongly characterised community in a poor neighbourhood of Bangalore in India

The descriptions there made me think of The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai, set in Vietnam. I read it earlier this year as part of the #ShelterBox #bookclub and I thought it was very good
