It is the #EverestDay on Monday. The day marks the 70th anniversary of the Edmund's Hillary and Tenzing's Norgay climb on the mountain, when they reached its top as the first people ever.

@fionabradley Thanks! I've been following #SCOSS from the beginning. Does it now recommend specific governance structures? I can't see any.

As I see it, the awardees are either university-owned (#arXiv #Redalyc #OpenCitations) or FLOSS projects with limited lock-in potential (#DOAJ #SHERPA #PKP #DSpace). #OAPEN and #DOAB are the exception, relatively new orgs under Belgian law.

The SCOSS method is interesting because money flows directly from universities to the targets.

I did calibrate my extruder’s (Sherpa Mini) e-steps tonight. It was little off; previously 691 and now updated to 708.

Now when that is set, I thought to calibrate the flow rate per filament. Haven’t done any flow rate calibrations ever before, but let’s see if that improves the print quality someway. Haven’t noticed any problems, but I do not have anything to compare against though.

Heute morgen habe ich die #Datenschutzschulung absolviert, um Zugriffsrecht auf die Mitgliederverwaltung mittels #Sherpa zu erhalten. Mein Eindruck von der Schulung. 18 Lektionen, immer mit mehrminütigem Video. Datenschutz ist sicher eine gute Idee, die Umsetzung scheint mir aber Ausdruck einer in Angst erstarrten Gesellschaft, in der die Idee zu kursieren scheint, das man besser nichts tut, was nicht ausdrücklich erlaubt ist, am besten also nichts und wenn dann besser nur auf Anweisung hin
