Meistens ist es so, das man ein altes Gerät gegen ein Upgrade Tauscht. Dann wird je nach Zustand ein neues günstiger für dich, den nicht nur der Zustand sondern auch der Pfand wird berücksichtigt.
Bei Shift werden dann die Telefone aufgearbeitet und für Gemeinnützige zwecke genutzt.
Bis es soweit ist kann man jedes Teil bei #shiftphones ersetzen.

I'm hoping for a small, cheap, low-spec smartphone without cameras or a microphone, with a headphone jack and a removable battery, 5Ghz-capable Wi-Fi but no 5G, just standard LTE; no NFC and no BLE.
Unless Santa Claus hears me, it's unlikely to be much like that, but still I'm excited to find out more 😊

@Rish_Ark finalmente casi todos los fabricantes tienen la misma politica (a excepcion de #fairphone ) o de lo contrario, como dicen los de #FSF, los moviles deberian durar hasta que materialmente se desgastaran o hasta que tuvieran un accidente fisico
Si no fuera por la inestimable actividad de comunidades de voluntarios que desarrollan alternativas en base a la version vainilla de #Android o #AOSP, hoy solo tendriamos aparatos 100% deshechables y jamas hubieran nacidos los proyectos alternativos como #Teracube o #Shiftphones

@nikita hab schon lange kein Google Gedöns mehr auf meinem #Smartphone. Danke an #Shiftphones, die auch bei #gerooteten Smartphones Support bieten. 😉Aber ich werd mir #GrapheneOS auch mal anschauen.

@andree4live Auch wenn ich die Firma #shiftphones ein wenig sympathischer finde, habe ich mich dann doch für das Fairphone entschieden. Einfach, weil die Technik wesentlich besser ist.
Und zu einen Gutschein sage ich auch nicht Nein.

Soweit ich weiß, gibt es vom ShiftOS eine G (Google) und L (ohne Google) Version.
