We watched #ShinUltraman today. Very funky and super fast moving movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. A fun ride.

É a "continuação" de Shin Godzilla, mas dessa vês, o Hideaki Anno produz e roteiriza mas deixa a direção pra outra pessoa

não deixa de ter o estilo do Anno, que eu gosto, o que inclui personagens extremamente memoráveis

O filme é exageradíssimo e tem muitas plots que vao começando e terminando, mas a mensagem funciona, a adaptação é legal e é uma reimaginação de Ultraman mto bem vinda.

Animado pro Shin Kamen Raider (que vai voltar a direção do Anno)

If you liked #ShinGodzilla you will love #ShinUltraman. At its core, Shin Ultraman is a story about the beauty and fragility of humanity as well as a reflection on mortality. I love the classic soundtrack and the vibrant, unusual #kaiju designs. The eccentric cinematography also sets it apart from other #movies dealing in similar subject matter. I'm so glad that #HideakiAnno is finally done with Eva so he can bring his creative vision to these classic properties. Can't wait for #ShinKamenRider!

We were fortunate enough to see #shinultraman tonight. It was truly a great movie with a nice narrative. It was also unexpectedly a pretty funny movie as well. Just got back from #ShinUltraman. I only have a broad cultural familiarity with Ultraman, so I have no idea how much the movie was replaying iconic beats from prior material. The production was pretty solid, but I felt the script was weak - a couple members of the SSSP(?) barely had anything to do, for example. Still, mostly a good big-screen experience (especially during the kaiju bits) except if you end up too close to the screen - even the rub has lots of Eva-style big, fast subtitles

About to see #ShinUltraman. These rubber monsters ain’t gonna fight themselves.

Was at the #cinema last night for #ShinUltraman - enjoyed it immensely, a very faithful recreation of the original. Very odd seeing 70s TV style effects in modern CGI! 😆

It pains me to say this, it really does.

Very excited for my #tokusatsu fix tonight. First time back to a movie theatre since the pandemic. #FathomEvents has a nationwide limited release of #ShinUltraman, which is a bit hit in Japan from the folks that made the amazing Shin Godzilla.

Very much looking forward to seeing #Ultraman on the big screen. (Also, looking forward to a #Grimaldis pizza afterwards.)

Gosto do personagem, mas o diretor e o roteirista desse filme deveriam ser proibidos de fazer qualquer outra coisa relacionado a essa PI. Principalmente por causa dos ângulos... Cara... Que enquadramentos mais toscos.

A atuação é horrososa.
