Gefallen mir aber nicht.

I'm not really getting the outrage around Elmo's latest fiasco. I mean who actually still has interaction with their content from over 10 years ago? I don't even remember a Google search ever showing me a tweet that old. I've always treated microblogging as a transient medium for interactions and like email and text messaging, I never refer back to old messages. Any media I've ever shared is already backed up so nothing is lost if Elmo deletes it. #twitter #xitter #shitter

is to speak to and of my own experience, which is to say "it has been my experience", or to refrain from the use of "there are those who....".

I have no right to speak to your experience, nor you, to mine.

You have been around long enough to be aware of the issues that effect users from #shitter including being excluded and spoken down to. That hasn't been my experience which I'm pleased about. Likewise, I doubt it has happened to you.

To isolate a poster as you have done and asked why should people want to talk to him, just because he wants to talk to someone, is unjust and unfair. It speaks to me of social maggotry such as #shitter has done.

It also speaks IMHO, incorrectly, of the nature of the #Fediverse and why folks come here. The original responder explained his why, and your response belittled him, rather than reach out and make suggestions about finding his people, as we all do, you took away his right to be heard, and my right to hear him.

I have found and given respect to many of your posts because you speak intelligently about issues that effect you and in turn effect others, or exhibit a capacity to do so.

I have responded to those which spoke to me of something I had experienced. I have read others with interest and thought about them, boosted them and faved them.

This one I was surprised by up to a point. You are now aware why. It's not my role to advise you, or even suggest alternative responses. But it is my view that some posts are detrimental to the health of the Fediverse.

We are all equipped with #choice. I came here for the #conversation, spent 2 minutes in the #confrontation, learned about #block and #mute and here we are.

I think #guidance on happy use of the Fediverse makes sense. Ppl coming here after years on #Farcebook and #xitter (pronounced Shitter in deference to #president #Xi), have gotten used to being torn apart over an asterisk or a comma.

Here it takes a moment to realise those people aren't here. They are still on #shitter.

Many folks, me included, didn't even know there was a word for #ablism for example. I do now and try to keep it in mind, simply because #someone pointed out of to me.

These #discussions can become the core of what the #Fediverse is so about.

Yeah... that sums things up nicely.
