I'm currently daily wearing a pair of #xero shoes HFS that have a perfect fit, but don't have enough cushioning for daily hard floor use and road #running
I might be able to get away with a good insole. I had a pair of heavy duty work gel insoles but they weren't for a wide toe box and felt weird.
What high impact insoles or shoes with a Xero Shoes HFS fit and Altra Escalante cushioning do you recommend?

But it's ripped and the "tread" is almost worn down to a scrubbed open foam bottom. And if my previous Kinvaras are any indication, the open foam cells on the sole will soak up any water like a sponge, making the shoes impossibly heavy and incredibly poor grip.

But these things wear out so fast. This pair of 14s might not make 300km. The outsole already looks shot under the forefoot at 250km.
I try to get more than 500km out of my shoes, and really won't replace unless needed before 650km.
