Even people in the USA experience the effects of overpopulation including, overdevelopment, #pollution, #mentalIllness (yes, children that grow up in an #apartments are more likely to develop them), #conflicts over resources, #assetInflation (ie. higher #housePrices), suppressed #wages, greater need for #socialControl (see #theMedia), #shorterLifespan (highrise living does catch up with people) etc.
