Distant ebbing tide
Brown belts, clear
White foam drowned

North Sea Glimpses

Languages of light stalk industrial ports,
Like nearby Milky Ways from afar.

Here, all calm and starlit,
The North Sea

Langues de lumière harcèlent les ports industriels,
De loin, comme des voies lactées toutes proches.

Ici, calme et étoillée,
La mer du nord

Lichttalen belagen industriële havens,
Als nabije Melkwegen van ver.

Hier alles kalm en sterrenlicht,
