Ich bin Neuling im Bereich #Videobearbeitung und möchte aus MP4s meiner #GoPro Hero9 unter #MacOS Standbilder mit Geo-Daten exportieren. Diese JPGs möchte ich dann mit JOSM für die Bearbeitung von #OpenStreetMap einsetzen.

Mit der Quik-App von GoPro auf dem iPhone geht es nicht, da sind in den exportierten Standbildern keine Geodaten drin, obwohl sie in einer MP4-Spur vorhanden sind.
Kennt jemand ein Programm zur Videobearbeitung, das das kann, bevor ich alle einzeln durchprobiere? Die Einarbeitung ist für einen Anfänger ganz schön zeitaufwändig.

Erstmal habe ich mir eine Liste von Videobearbeitungsprogrammen erstellt, die ich sonst durchprobieren müßte:

Wenn Ihr welche davon kennt, die den Export von Standbildern aus GoPro-Videos mit Geolokalisierung nicht können, hilft mir das auch schon weiter, dann kann ich diese schon von meiner Liste streichen.

Try instead outputting a video from Shotcut & using #FFMPEG to make the GIF.

In Shotcut:

• Reduce the resolution to a max width of 480 & half the FPS.
• Export as lossless video as input.mkv to your FFMPEG folder.

In FFMPEG, do the following:

ffmpeg -i Input.mkv -filter_complex "[0:v] split [a][b];[a] palettegen [p];[b][p] paletteuse" Output.gif

todays project has been to get a working understanding of #freecad. I've been drafting in #librecad but my drawings have gotten complex enough that I need to take the time to learn freecad.:
I've used #openscad a lot, #blender, #gimp, #inkscape, #kcad, #libreoffice, #darktable and #shotcut ; I don't have a girlfriend or family so I have time, can you tell:-)

but I haven't done precise work with real working drawings. its the next step towards 3d printing and real cad work.

@amadeus Sadly Qt based, but since nobody has mentioned it: I've used #Shotcut for years now for my rather basic video editing needs.

It's FOSS and cross-platform. As far as I can tell it's quite feature-rich. A lot of great tutorials on YouTube etc. :)

Ich nutze @kdenlive und bin damit sehr zufrieden, ist aber ähnlich wie #shotcut recht komplex, es gibt aber auch eine gute Dokumentation

Etwas simpler wären @openshot oder #pitivi mit den beiden habe ich aber keine Erfahrung

Für Video ist #kdenlive eine gute Wahl sowie alternativ #blender.
Foto Bearbeitung mache ich mit #digikam, #gimp oder neuerdings #krita

I just got done with trimming nearly four hours of footage from three separate recordings, with the intention of cutting out the bulk of what's left to get the most important bits of it down to around 30 minutes.

I started having memory issues and tweaked some settings in #Shotcut including enabling Proxy. I had to reload the software for separate reasons, and the preview footage ended up a blank white screen.

Can you do a comparison of KDEnlive vs Shotcut?
I have been using Shotcut because my son used it on his Windows system, and I needed to get a video up and running quickly, and I needed the learning time to be 60 seconds or less.
I guess what that means is, shortcut is multiplatform. I know KDE is possible on Windows, but I haven't seen it that much.
In case it was not clear, shortcut is also FOSS (and I use Linux)

What I wanted to do this weekend was try out DaVinci Resolve 18. Being able to use a video editor should not be this difficult.
