@serqetry @Seg Here's a description of the IIgs' unusual 640-mode screen from the hardware reference manual. Like the ST, there was just 32K screen RAM for the GS. Most paint programs I saw (like proper EA Deluxe Paint II) just offered "standard" single-palette 4-color 640-mode on the GS.
