Love what @terhechte is doing with #Ebou.
Ebou presents an “inbox” style view (see also: #Shuttlecraft) of your Mastodon timeline.
Seems like it'll be great for when I want to catch up with a few folks on the tl without looking at what *everyone* I follow was up to over the past n hours.
Yeah, and single user #activitypub servers like #Shuttlecraft, that is under development.
No server dependencies, stand-alone NodeJS web application, on just about any virtual host.
Could be easily deployed quickly on a per user, sign-up page if further developed on hosts like @mastohost or #spacehost with a deployment script.
#activitypub #shuttlecraft #spacehost
We see this in the current dash to create user apps.
Also, there are projects like @benbrown's single user, stand-alone NodeJS web application which requires no server dependencies, #activitypub server #Shuttlecraft, which I envision could be deployed in mass, on a user-by-user signup level. Users signup at a single sign-up page and their own single user server is created, that they own. Kind of a #Fediverse Geocities but server creation
#activitypub #shuttlecraft #fediverse
@sleepy In that case, you'd probably be interested in @benbrown's Mastodon-compatible ActivityPub server for a single user called #Shuttlecraft. https://hackers.town/@benbrown/109605510788355449
That was unexpected. Man alive, Glitch is a nice site, but I made a huge mess of it with frustrated mousing. Updating the #shuttlecraft avatar was needlessly tortured. I did a bunch of damage. Moved .js files around willy-nilly, thanks to click-and-drag which was a huge no-no. Thankfully Glitch has a rewind button, so I used that, and that fixed my "Might as well just burn it to the ground at this point" and put humpty dumpty back up on the wall.
In the end, I uploaded an avatar+
It *looks like* I can open up the console on #Glitch and configure `crontab` to run a nightly `git pull` and `refresh` on my #Shuttlecraft instances.
🤔 Dare I try?
Is there a docker person out there who could take a look at 3 competing pull requests and tell me which one to merge to add docker support for #Shuttlecraft?
I do not know enough about docker to make a decision!
https://github.com/benbrown/shuttlecraft/pulls?q=is:pr+is:open+label:docker
Huge thanks to @selfagency who added a bunch of code quality checks for #Shuttlecraft that are now in main and will be applied to all future PRs.
Thanks dude!!
@adamghill or, if you set up your own email server and never "signed up",
Then... Same! Lol check out #shuttlecraft
Last week I made it possible to customize the post button label in #Shuttlecraft. Are you using it? What does your button say?
Here's mine right now :)
Basta costruire shuttle! Inventate il teletrasporto già e facciamola finita!

@nikkiana @college_physics @evan wow I’ve found my people! See (1) #Shuttlecraft https://hackers.town/@benbrown/109674294454044812 and mayyybe (2) my own frontend app #Yoyogi https://octodon.social/@22/109341060401995256, I’d love to see more bricolage in this space! Newsgroup readers 20 years ago were better than this!
@xarvos check out #Shuttlecraft which I recently learned about! https://hackers.town/@benbrown/109674294454044812. (It’s a full server, which I think is a better idea than it seem, because at least Mastodon’s REST API is so meh.)
@evan
Hey I got #ShuttleCraft by @benbrown
working on glitch.
ShuttleCraft isn't at all complicated to get going, but glitch is a bit weird, at least at first.
I'd never used glitch before so it was an adventure in fine living.
ShuttleCraft is a work in progress, and needs to see a little more TLC, but it's got places to go!
Man, I think I got the glitch remix thing happening. I set up @sparseMatrix@defcon.social so I have a point of entry/login
I have loaded the creds for that into the .env file
but I can't for the life of me figure out how to start the app
clue me in in lol
Here's a video of the latest version of #Shuttlecraft in action. I hope you can tell how much I enjoy working on this and using it. I have been living in "reader" land for a week or so now and it definitely reduces my feeling of feed fomo.

As mentioned in the video, it takes only a few minutes to set up your own copy on Glitch - there is a link in the Github readme that will lead directly into creating an instance.
/me snickers. I am making it so people can change all the emojis used in the #shuttlecraft ui. So you can make the boost icon whatever you want, or if you prefer stars over hearts, you know, you be you. I know I will be changing mine often.
Alright! The #Shuttlecraft feed reader interface is now in the main branch :) If you want to run your own #Fediverse instance and have a more leisurely option for reading posts from your friends, now might be a good time to try it. :)
@CyberSulu @cybersulu@cybersulu.ninja is it #shuttlecraft? That's a nice piece of software. If not, curious what you're running instead !
