I’m a pretty decent violinist, but I don’t get how people can just…learn the Sibelius violin concerto. That 3-string-crossing ascending passage in the 1st movement? Those ascending 1-3 2-4 double-stops in the 3rd?

It’ll take me years to learn it. Maybe I’ll actually start someday. I’d like to achieve it in my lifetime.
