Neat #halacha question: can #Jewish Mastodon help?
There's debate, I know, on whether it's kosher to pray from a #siddur #app. For those who say yes (w/distractions turned off), what is the status of the phone while doing so? Is it #kodesh (holy), like an actual siddur is, meaning if you touch something that isn't you have to wash your hands before proceeding? Or is it just a phone, and only the app has special status? Got #sources? Answers here good, there even better!

Have you davened from Mishkan Tefila? This is the newest #siddur from #ReformJudaism
In your view, wow does it compare to the classic Reform prayerbook, Gates of Prayer? To the Conservative movement's Siddur Sim Shalom, or the #ModernOrthodox Koren Sacks Siddur?

Isn't it odd how the LAST thing we say in birkhat ha'mazon (other than rakhamans) is לְעוֹלָם אַל יְחַסְּ֒רֵֽנוּ l'olam al yekhasreinu?
I mean it could say l'olam yevarkheinu... with all these good things HKBH should always bless us... but no. It's from all these good things HKBH should not deprive us. AND DONE. It always strikes me as a strangely negative note to end every meal with bread... with the fear of deprivation even after a recitation of good.
Some recommended siddurim -
The siddur is the traditional Jewish prayerbook. It contains the inherited prayers and hopes of the Jewish people from Biblical times, to the times of the Temple in Jerusalem, to the modern day

Wonder why non-Orthodox siddurim now have the Imahot in the Amidah? Their importance in traditional Judaism is tremendous. See Who knows four? The Imahot in rabbinic Judaism. By Alvan Kaunfer.

Why should we pray? In Judaism one can see several schools of thought about this: The social approach; Rationalist; Mystical; and Educational. We take a look at these different points of view here

All forms of Jewish theology agree that God isn't male, female, or even human-like. Our Bible and liturgy of course are filled with metaphors and poetry that use gender, because it is impossible for humans to have had a literary tradition without it.
Yet all Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox rabbis I have learned from agree that God is without gender. So we take a closer look at that here
@sowersian All Reform Jews I know - and all Orthodox and Conservative Jews - reject the idea that God is a man or a woman. All gender terms are at best allegorical or poetic.
In all forms of Jewish theology - even liberal ones - it is considered avodah zarah to believe that God is anthropomorphic.

It is important to know that Jews are as indigenous to Judea as Arabs are to Arabia, or as Kurds are to Kurdistan.
We see this in many Jewish rituals and in every siddur (Jewish prayerbook.)
All 3 daily Jewish prayer services are explicitly about our people's connection to Eretz Yisrael and Yerushalayim (Jerusalem)

"The Inclusive Siddur Project is an attempt to imagine what a fully inclusive, de-stigmatized Jewish liturgy might look like. The main release is Siddur Davar Ḥadash, a nondenomenational Ashkenazi siddur. [...] In addition, the siddur replaces passages of the standard liturgy that are sexist, ableist, xenophobic, or otherwise stigmatizing, finding alternatives — in Hebrew and in English — that are not demeaning."
