Sierra Blanca peak, Monday morning.
Low clouds/airmass are trying to push east (right side of image) over the high terrain, towards the west (left side).
A different airmass on the west side is pushing east, and preventing that advance.
It looks like the low clouds are being held back by an invisible dam.
This is a backdoor cold front (which is not a very thick/deep layer of air) that is creating convergence with the much thicker air to the west that is slowly pushing east.
It makes for an interesting cloud pattern around this mountain.
