I put the finishing touches to this landscape this week.

Some of the landscapes I am painting, like this one, feature benches. Thanks to Long Covid, I don’t do well with standing up while staying still, so a bench is always a welcome sign to me.

From snowdrops to bas relief.

I like to feel the shapes of leaves and flowers, to stroke grass heads, to feel the texture of bark. Bring sight-impaired, these tactile actions are part of my enjoyment of time in nature.

I am incorporating tactile elements in the local nature-inspired artworks I am creating. This includes bas reliefs of plants.

Just a gentle reminder to photographers to include good Alt text descriptions of your images when posting. One word or minimal tags aren't enough: sight-impaired and blind people want to get a proper feeling for what's in your image – be sure to tell them what's there, give them the picture and how it looks.

👉 Grab text from any image on screen & auto ICR'd & put in the clipboard.
👉 Change Windows shortcut keys and add new ones.

I always try to make sure that I put useful alt descriptions on images so that people who are #blind or #SightImpaired can get a feel for them. But, I'm not blind so I don't know if what I post is helpful. I've just posted about the Tool album, Fear Inoculum and I think my description might just leave you with a confused headache.
