Got some strong feelings about Pete Carrol, Gnosis, and the Myth of Parzival which is brewing in my head right now.

Something I've noticed is that about every 20 years or so there's a big upheaval in Chaos Magick, and I don't know if we've had that event yet since the early 2000's.

By taking the letters of the Latin alphabet and using them to construct new symbols, sigil magic is a radical effort to take ownership of language and be in charge of your own symbol systems. More than a rejection of Victorian occultism, it proposes that even the most fundamental symbol systems may be questioned if genuine change is to take place.

This is your regular reminder that isn’t about making squiggles from letters, jerk-off wizardry or any of that stuff. Or rather, it *can* be if that’s your bag but it doesn’t *have* to be.
Sigil magic is a three step process of defining your desire as specifically and succinctly as you can, encoding it, then sending it out into the world.

For today’s edition of we’re playing with colours.

Start by writing out your desire in the usual way, knocking out the vowels and repeated letters.

Convert the remaining text into hex code.

Take the first three hex elements, find the corresponding colour and you’ve got yourself a colour sigil.
